Do these continuous pessimistic statements from financial analysts really reflect a true perspective of current economic conditions or are they simply implying a personal feeling that things COULD deteriorate somewhat going forward? Are they reluctant to forecast anything positive in case they may be wrong AGAIN? (see article) Give the people something postive to look forward to, they have had enough doom and gloom. Charting presentations in general, presented to the media and it’s readers simply represent data that has occurred in the past. While information contained in these charts is certainly interesting and applicable, it doesn’t reflect what may be happening in the future. Much more beneficial to the average investor would be charts that reflect high possibilities of short term (1-3 month) market volatility – projections for the Dow & TSX markets - and Gold – Oil - Nat.Gas prices. Having that kind of comparative data, chats would present a much better perspective to an average investor and perhaps even to Investment Advisors to better serve their clients.
